Hi, I’m Brandi.

Brandi Guevara, LPC-Associate, is a trauma-informed therapist who is deeply passionate about walking alongside children, individuals, and families on their healing journeys. What began as a calling has grown into a purposeful career rooted in compassion, authenticity, connection, and hope. Brandi believes in creating therapeutic spaces where clients feel safe, seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

Brandi is a co-founder and therapist at The Counseling Collective, where she practices under the supervision of Amanda Lopez, LPC-S. The Counseling Collective allows Brandi to provide therapy in a way that reflects who she is—warm, creative, relational, and grounded in genuine connection.

Her heart for helping others extends throughout the Permian Basin community. Brandi also serves as the Children’s Program Director and Child Therapist at Safe Place of the Permian Basin, provides contracted counseling services through High Sky Children’s Ranch’s Community Therapy Clinic, and works within acute behavioral health services at Permian Behavioral Health Hospital. These diverse roles have given her the opportunity to support clients across a wide range of ages, experiences, and levels of need—from children processing difficult experiences through play to individuals navigating trauma, life transitions, relationships, and acute mental health concerns.

Brandi is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), EAGALA Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and Levels 1 and 2 Sandtray Therapy, with additional certification in Play Therapy. She incorporates evidence-based and experiential approaches to support trauma healing, emotional regulation, identity development, resilience, and meaningful personal growth. Her approach is individualized, recognizing that healing does not look the same for everyone.

Guided by faith and a deep belief in restoration, Brandi views therapy as sacred work. She is humbled by the trust clients place in her and considers it a privilege to walk alongside them as they discover their strengths, find their voice, and create meaningful change. Above all, Brandi strives to offer a space where people can simply come as they are—and know they do not have to navigate the hard things alone.

Why the
Counseling Collective?

Finding a counselor can feel like a lot of work. We want the process to feel a little easier.

At The Counseling Collective, you'll find clinicians with different specialties and perspectives, allowing us to offer a range of counseling services while keeping something important at the center: the relationship between counselor and client.

We take the time to listen, understand your goals, and help connect you with the counselor who feels like the right fit.

Because the right counselor isn't simply someone with the right credentials.

It's someone you feel safe talking to.
